Here at Middle East Plus we are dedicated to cultivating strong and engaged students who are well acquainted with the languages, cultures, and political structures of the Middle East. Our location is in Amman, a modern high traffic center of the Arab world, and the political capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This gives students an opportunity to experience a modern Middle Eastern City with ancient roots in such a way that is educational, entertaining, and life changing. We offer a vast number of language, cultural, and political programs, in order to provide students with a comprehensive view and knowledge of the region. Our staff is made up of experienced educators who are passionate about their students and the subjects they teach, and also young people dedicated to the events and activities they run. Our language courses are taught in both classroom and immersion style programs so that students can learn in the way that best suits them. While we currently offer only courses in Arabic we are working on including other Middle Eastern languages in our list, including but not limited to: Hebrew, Persian, Kurdish, and Turkish. Our cultural program is made up of a series of events and projects that highlight the various facets of Middle Eastern culture. It focuses on the food, music, art, and community values that have shaped and defined the region for decades, and will make sure to allow foreigners to experience these facets in their truest form. Due to the pressing need for instruction in the ever more labyrinthine world of Middle East politics we have decided to start a political program. The program will incorporate classroom type teaching as well as discussions and debates, and there will be guest speakers invited to the program on a regular basis. While we are still in the process of obtaining approval for the program we believe that instruction will begin soon (Early 2017).
