Ten 10 years ago, a group of young Jordanian activists were carrying out a research field mission in conjunction with local, U.S, and European organizations and universities; such as the University of Arizona, the McCain Institute for International Leadership, as well as the Department of Sociology at Stockholm University. The mission was aimed at studying the best practices to build sustainable civil societies in areas affected by the influx of refugees. The team concluded that the adverse effects of the refugees' crisis on host communities and the socioeconomic structures cannot be mitigated without a self-empowered civil society that is able to optimally utilize the available resources in order to reduce the burden to be potentially cumbering future generations, the state and donors. Additionally, economic projects and entrepreneurship programs have to be able to support the local community, especially civil institutions and non-profit associations, in fulfilling their role in the preservation of security, stability and prosperity. As a result, a multinational organization under the name “Blue Umbrella for Training and Community Development” was established in the United States and Jordan. The organization was established in Jordan a limited liability company, and was registered with the non-for-profit company record under No. (801) on 02/07/2016. Train and build the capacity of individuals and entities in marginalized areas and impoverished communities, to improve the socioeconomic status. 3. Encourage volunteer work among the youth; by enhancing the needed skills for effective volunteerism. 4. Increase women participation in the economic, social, and public life. 5.
